Bord na Mona’s industrial railways operate in the following locations;

• Energy
  • Blackwater / Boora – supplying West Offaly Power Station at Shannonbridge.
    • Boora Works in Counties Offaly & Westmeath.
    • Blackwater Works in Counties Offaly, Westmeath, Roscommon & Galway.
    • Derryfadda Works in Counties Galway & Roscommon.
  • Derrygreenagh Works – supplying Edenderry Power Limited
  • Mountdillon – supplying Lough Ree Power Station at Lanesboro.
    • Derrygreenagh Works in Counties Offaly, Westmeath & Kildare.
    • Mountdillon Works in Counties Roscommon, & Longford.
    • Cuil na gCon Works in County Westmeath.

Note: Oweninny Works has been closed since January 2005 and its entire industrial railway network has subsequently been decommissioned and removed.

• Fuels
  • Littleton Briquette Factory – supplied by the Littleton group of bogs in Counties Tipperary, Laois & Kilkenny.
  • Derrinlough Briquette Factory – supplied by Blackwater / Boora Works located as outlined above.

• Horticulture
  • Cuil na Mona - supplied by Cuil na Mona Bogs in County Laois
  • Ballivor – supplied by Ballivor bogs in Counties Westmeath & Meath.

Bord na Mona Horticulture operate independent and separate industrial rail lines in the following locations, Kilberry, Rossan, Ummeras, Prosperous, Gilltown, Monettia and Allen in Counties Offaly and Kildare. These industrial rail systems do not incorporate any Level Crossings or Underpasses.
